Every member of our team is a STEM specialist, meaning they are highly skilled in multiple math subjects and at least one or more science subjects as well. Our tutors are carefully selected not only for their academic expertise, but also for their ability to connect with students and build confidence.

  • Malique, Founder/STEM Tutor

    Meet Malique, the Founder, CEO, and Lead STEM Tutor of Tutor Me Today (TMT). What began as a pipe dream in 2021 quickly turned into a thriving educational service. At the time, Malique was working at another tutoring center when he realized the true value of his skills and passion for helping students succeed. Motivated to make a greater impact, he launched TMT in June of that year.

    From humble beginnings as a one-person operation, TMT’s reputation spread rapidly through referrals. The business initially offered both in-person and virtual sessions but transitioned fully online in 2023 to better serve students across multiple counties. Today, TMT has grown into a dedicated team of six tutors and eleven staff members, partnering with over ten schools across Cobb, Fulton, and Forsyth Counties.

  • Mallika Kulkarni, STEM Tutor

    Mallika is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is completing her Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Data Science. She brings several years of tutoring experience, having worked with students in AP Physics, AP Calculus, and SAT/ACT preparation during high school, and continuing in college as a teaching assistant for multiple computer science courses as well as a Wharton School business course. Mallika is passionate about making challenging material approachable and helping students build both confidence and strong problem-solving skills. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, and exploring fashion.


  • Michael Landry, MATH/SAT Tutor

    Michael Landry, is an Empathetic Math Instructor/Tutor who has been working with students for more than twenty five years. He has what it takes to assist students dealing with intimidating mathematical concepts from Elementary to Precalculus College level. He uses real world applications to turn haters of mathematics into life long lovers of mathematics.

    Michael has helped students earn college degrees in physics, computer science, economics, engineering and applied mathematics from highly selective universities like Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, NYU, Wellesley, Duke, Columbia.

  • Cara Wanek, STEM Tutor

    Cara Wanek is a passionate math teacher who loves helping students see that math can truly make sense—and even be fun. She believes the most effective learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions, collaborating with others, and exploring new strategies without fear of making mistakes. Her virtual classroom emphasizes collaboration, hands-on activities, and real-world connections that show why math matters beyond the textbook. Cara is always excited to find creative ways to break down complex concepts and help students build confidence in their problem-solving skills, with the ultimate goal of cultivating mathematicians who genuinely love math.

  • Ruben Solis, Math Tutor

    Ruben is a mathematics instructor and tutor with experience teaching and supporting students across a wide range of levels, from foundational mathematics to advanced undergraduate coursework. He currently teaches at the university level and has several years of tutoring experience working with diverse learners. Ruben focuses on building strong conceptual understanding while helping students develop confidence, independence, and effective problem-solving skills.

  • Kimberly Brown, STEM Tutor

    Kimberly Brown brings over 25 years of experience in both classroom teaching and one-on-one instruction, along with a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics. She specializes in helping high school students overcome math anxiety while building strong skills across all levels, from foundational math concepts to AP Calculus and Statistics. Her teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex, abstract ideas into clear, manageable steps so students gain true understanding, confidence, and effective problem-solving strategies. Kimberly is committed to creating a supportive, low-stress learning environment that empowers students to achieve higher grades, improve SAT/ACT performance, and stay on track for college success.

  • David Masterson, Math Tutor

    David has taught mathematics at both the high school and college levels, bringing over 32 years of experience in secondary education. During his career, he has taught every mathematics course offered, with a particular specialty in Statistics and Calculus. David continues to have a deep passion for teaching math and helping students succeed. He lives in Erie, Pennsylvania with his wife and has two daughters—one serving in the U.S. Air Force and the other currently in college.

  • Naho Matalbert-Simon, Virtual Assistant

    Naho is a motivated and detail-oriented healthcare professional with a strong interest in clinical support and patient care. She has experience working in both clinical and research settings and values professionalism, empathy, and clear communication in all aspects of her work. In her role as a Virtual Administrative Assistant, Naho enjoys supporting families by making scheduling simple and stress-free for parents, ensuring clear communication, and helping operations run smoothly behind the scenes. She is passionate about contributing to a collaborative healthcare and education-focused team while continuing to grow her skills and knowledge.

  • Aleah Miles, HR Coordinator

    Aleah is a well rounded professional with over eight years of experience in business development, human resources, and administrative operations. Throughout her career, she has supported a diverse range of organizations and nonprofits that have focused on at risk youth and underserved populations throughout Southern California. Aleah is inspired by purpose and community, as her work encourages strategic thinking, building partnerships, while advancing solutions that drive impact. In her free time, she enjoys cooking recipes from all over the world, going to the beach, conducting research, riding horses, and traveling.

  • Allie Taweel, Social Media Manager

    Alisha Taweel is a social media marketer at Tutor Me Today. With a background in fine art, she values creativity and resourcefulness, crafting valuable content. She enjoys exploring new ways to blend storytelling and digital media. In her free time she enjoys painting.

  • Lorena Decker, Marketing

    Lorena has more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience in both B2B and B2C environments. Her industry experience includes associations, shopping centers, retail, consumer goods, and luxury products, IT services and legal marketing.  

    Lorena graduated from American University with a B.S. in business administration and marketing and earned her master’s in marketing strategy and management from Johns Hopkins University. She is also fluent in Spanish.

    Lorena is originally from Washington, DC. She and her husband Eric live in Marietta and have a three-year-old son. In her spare time, Lorena enjoys reading, watching movies and traveling. She has been to more than 20 countries.

  • Gabriela Melendez, College Prep Specialist

    Gabriela is a dedicated tutor and Tutor Me Today’s College Prep Specialist, with a strong passion for helping students reach their academic and postsecondary goals. She specializes in English, reading comprehension, and writing, providing patient, step-by-step guidance that helps students strengthen their skills and build confidence. With excellent communication skills and an encouraging, student-centered approach, Gabriela tailors each session to meet individual learning styles and academic needs. She is deeply committed to supporting students not only in their coursework, but also in preparing for college success—creating a positive, motivating, and supportive environment where students feel empowered, capable, and ready to thrive.

  • Madison Steinbruck, Funding Development Coordinator

    Madison Steinbruck is an operations and executive support professional who thrives at the intersection of structure and storytelling. With a background in HR, agency coordination, and content creation, she brings both strategic insight and creative problem-solving to every role. As the Funding Development Coordinator at Tutor Me Today, Madison is deeply committed to securing grants, loans, and other funding opportunities that fuel the organization’s growth. Her work focuses on expanding Tutor Me Today’s reach, strengthening financial sustainability, and ensuring more students have access to high-quality academic support through strategic funding and resource development.

  • Sydney Gore, Event Coordinator

    Sydney, the Event Coordinator for Tutor Me Today, blends precision, creativity, and a touch of elegance into each project. With a background in medical administration, she brings strong organizational and communication skills that ensure flawless event execution.

    Outside of work, she enjoys crafting and creating handmade essential body oils, infusing her love for beauty and detail into everything she does.

  • Amber Dawson, Event Coordinator

    Amber is an Event Coordinator I at Tutor Me Today, where she supports the planning, coordination, and execution of educational and community-focused events. With strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach, she helps ensure each event runs smoothly and aligns with TMT’s mission of student success. Amber works closely with leadership, tutors, and community partners to create engaging experiences for students and families. She is passionate about building meaningful community connections and expanding Tutor Me Today’s outreach and impact.
