Hi Everyone, I'm sure many of you are aware the SAT is coming up and you may be worried about how your child has prepared for it. The SAT is an integral part of the College application system and Colleges everywhere. We have decided to construct 3 simple tips you can do to help prepare your child for their SAT! :)

I. Register for an SAT Prep course

This seems simple enough, but allow me to elaborate. I'm sure if you're reading this you are interested in improving your child's SAT score in some capacity and lucky for you, you are in the right place. Here at TMT, we offer an SAT prep course that is reasonably priced and we are now offering open enrollment! Have your child register for a course at least 1 to 2 months before the Exam. This will allow the study skills and topics to be very fresh in your child's mind walking into the exam.

With this course you will be working with one of our tutors 3 times a week covering all math topics that will be on the SAT. This will include topics like; Factoring, Linear Equations, and so much more. We have experienced tutors who are experts in these topics. In addition, we will be using our SAT 2022 Prep book as a guide as well.

II. Complete Practice Problems

The best way for your child to familiarize themselves with the SAT is to order a practice book online or via Barnes and Nobles. Most of the practice books today are equipped with tons of material including practice tests similar to the actual exam as well as instructional tools for certain problems. Being able to distinguish when to apply certain concepts and what to look for is fundamental for achieving a high score. The actual exam itself is very dense and lengthy. It is important to be able to take a tedious problem and outline exactly what it's looking for and solve it in a timely manner.

III. Nourish your body and sleep

This sounds simpler than it looks, but we are what we eat. We may not be health experts, but the foods we are consuming will affect our overall mind, but also our body. In addition, we encourage you to make sure your child is getting their essential vitamins and practicing healthy habits prior to the exam. In addition, we know that the SAT itself can be very stressful. It is an extremely long exam that can seem never-ending when taking it. We advise that you get lots of sleep (especially the night before) and the weeks prior to eliminate stress, while also going into it rested and confident. Nothing worst than taking the SAT on an empty stomach or after a night out with friends. So it is in your child's best interest to prepare accordingly.

Anyways, we could go on and on, but we'll save those tips for the course that can be purchased here (insert website link). We hope you find these tips useful for your child and we wish them the best of luck!
